We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Fostering Service team in Southend On Sea on a part-time basis. This role will involve working 18.5 hours over 3 days per week, with a competitive rate of £38 per hour.

Key responsibilities and duties for this position include:

  • Assessing and supporting foster carers throughout the fostering process
  • Conducting home visits and assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children in foster care
  • Providing guidance and support to foster carers on best practices for fostering
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children in care

The essential qualifications and skills required for this role are:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant qualifications and registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working within a fostering service or similar setting
  • Strong assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
