As a Qualified Social Worker in our Fostering Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and supporting foster carers to ensure they meet the needs of children in care.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify their needs and develop tailored care plans.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to promote the welfare of children.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a fostering or child protection setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
