We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CAFCASS - Family Court Adviser (QSW) to join our team in Merseyside. This position offers a competitive rate of £37.75 per hour with flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities and duties of the role include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families involved in family court proceedings
  • Providing expert advice and recommendations to the court to ensure the best interests of the child are upheld
  • Developing and implementing care plans that promote the welfare and safety of children
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including social workers, legal professionals, and healthcare providers
  • Attending court hearings and representing the interests of children effectively

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with current registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working within the family court system and a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
  • Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage a complex caseload
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and upholding ethical standards in social work practice

In addition to the essential requirements, candidates with experience in report writing, court representation, and knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Children Act 1989 will be highly desirable.
