The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Safeguarding/FSCP Team. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of effective safeguarding strategies, ensuring that vulnerable children receive the support they need to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in Child Protection Conferences and Strategy Meetings, providing expert advice and recommendations.
  • Working closely with partner agencies to promote the welfare of children and ensure effective service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child safeguarding and working with children and families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
