Children's SW - Front Door Team - Bradford
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Front Door Team in Bradford. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Responding to initial contacts and referrals concerning children and families in need of support or protection
- Undertaking assessments to determine the level of need and risk, and developing appropriate plans to address these
- Working collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to review and monitor progress
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England
- Experience working within a children's social care setting, preferably in a Front Door Team
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
