Cheshire East is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Court Team on an interim basis, offering a competitive rate of £39 per hour (Umbrella). This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to the well-being of children and families in our community, working within a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Social Worker in the Court Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and preparing court reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborating with legal representatives, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Attending court hearings and providing expert testimony as required.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that meet the individual needs of children and families.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in line with local authority policies.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker status with a valid Social Work England registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualifying experience in child protection or court work.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a caseload efficiently.
