We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Peterborough. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive rate of £39 per hour (umbrella), with the flexibility of working one day in the office. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in foster care, promoting positive outcomes and supporting foster families.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary standards.
  • Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
  • Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children in foster care.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare professionals, and other social workers, to ensure comprehensive support for children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports, adhering to all regulatory and legal requirements.

Essential qualifications and skills for this role include:

  • A valid Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in fostering or child protection services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
