We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker (SSW) to join our Adolescents Team in Lewisham. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children and young people aged 11 to 18, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. You will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to create positive outcomes for adolescents facing various challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Providing direct support to adolescents in crisis and advocating for their rights and needs.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to ensure best practices.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with adolescents in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and their families.
