Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - London Borough of Havering
The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with partner organizations to ensure holistic support for families.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues and contributing to team development.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with children and families.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services.
