Senior Social Worker- Children & Families - Isle of wight

As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing effective intervention plans.
  • Managing a caseload of complex cases, providing guidance and support to junior staff.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
  • Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of care plans, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Providing support and training to foster carers and adoptive families.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in children and families social work, with a proven track record in managing complex cases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
