Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Peterborough

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in need of protection and support.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk and develop appropriate intervention plans
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to provide holistic support
  • Attending case conferences, court hearings, and meetings to advocate for the best interests of children
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports
  • Participating in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a safeguarding team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
