We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our CWD Team in Swindon. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their well-being and safety.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for children with disabilities
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic support
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and families
  • Participating in case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings as required
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to families in challenging situations

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working in a similar role within children's services, particularly with children with disabilities
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage caseloads efficiently, and meet deadlines

In addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience in safeguarding, child protection, and knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004 will be highly regarded.
