We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CP Chair to join our team in Leicestershire on a full-time or part-time basis, offering an attractive rate of £42 per hour (umbrella). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading Child Protection Conferences, ensuring that the best interests of children and families are at the forefront of all decisions. Your expertise will help facilitate collaborative discussions among multi-agency partners, promoting effective safeguarding practices and identifying the necessary actions to support vulnerable children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Chairing Child Protection Conferences, ensuring a child-centered approach is maintained.
- Engaging with families, social workers, and other professionals to gather insights and recommendations.
- Documenting and disseminating conference outcomes, ensuring clarity and accountability.
- Monitoring and reviewing child protection plans to assess progress and effectiveness.
- Providing expert guidance and support to social work teams in complex cases.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong understanding of legislation and policies related to child welfare.
