As a Family & Friends Fostering Assessing Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective family and friends foster carers.
- Preparing detailed reports for panel presentations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster families, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams to promote the welfare of children and ensure their best interests are met.
- Participating in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in fostering practices.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in fostering assessments or child protection social work.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively with families and professionals.
