Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children with disabilities and their families.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and resources for families.
  • Participating in child protection conferences and court proceedings as necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with children and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
