Join the dedicated team at Lewisham as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) in our Looked After Children (LAC) and Leaving Care Team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and young people’s needs.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners.
- Providing ongoing support and advocacy for looked after children and care leavers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance service delivery and professional development.
To be successful in this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in working with children in care or leaving care.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and with external agencies.
