Sr. Social Worker - Safeguarding & Care Planning - Middlesbrough

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Safeguarding & Care Planning team in Middlesbrough. This pivotal role will involve working with vulnerable individuals and families to ensure their safety and well-being. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing care plans, and implementing safeguarding procedures while collaborating with various stakeholders to promote the best outcomes for service users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals and families to identify risks and needs.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Providing expert advice and support to colleagues and partner agencies on safeguarding matters.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategic planning and service development.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation, and experience in care planning. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and possess the ability to work effectively under pressure.
