We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Drug and Alcohol Team in Bradford. As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families affected by substance misuse.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks related to drug and alcohol use
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, including counseling, advocacy, and referrals to appropriate services
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other meetings to represent the best interests of the child
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting, preferably within the field of drug and alcohol misuse
  • Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills to effectively engage with service users and partner agencies
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to ethical standards of practice
