We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our CP/CIN Team in Birmingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need of support and protection.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments and developing care plans for children at risk of harm or in need of support
  • Conducting child protection investigations and assessments of children in need
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and families to address safeguarding concerns

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Experience working within a CP/CIN team and a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and professionalism in challenging situations
