Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need of support.
  • Working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure effective safeguarding practices are in place.
  • Carrying out statutory duties under the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior staff and students, fostering a learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities, with a commitment to best practices in safeguarding.
