As a Children's Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing tailored care plans.
  • Conducting regular visits and maintaining strong relationships with children in care, their families, and foster carers.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for children.
  • Preparing and presenting reports for court proceedings and child protection meetings.
  • Providing guidance and support to foster carers and ensuring the highest standards of care are met.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working within a children's social work setting, particularly with children in care.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with families and other professionals.
