Social Worker - Early Help - St Helens

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Early Help team in St Helens. This role is pivotal in providing support and intervention to families in need, ensuring children and young people have the best possible start in life. You will work collaboratively with other professionals and community organizations to assess needs, develop support plans, and empower families to achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other agencies.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to families to enhance their capacity to care for their children.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of interventions and outcomes.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of local services.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in working with children and families, particularly in early intervention settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
