Children's IRO - Bracknell
Bracknell Forest Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our dynamic team in the Qualified Social Work field. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting regular reviews of care plans for children and young people in care.
- Ensuring that children's views, wishes, and feelings are effectively represented and considered.

- Providing constructive feedback and recommendations to improve the quality of care.
- Maintaining accurate records and reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in children's social work, preferably with a focus on children in care.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
