Bracknell Forest is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual for the role of Part Time IRO/CP Chair. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Chairing child protection conferences and ensuring effective participation from all stakeholders.
  • Assessing and reviewing child protection plans to ensure they meet the needs of children and families.
  • Collaborating with social workers, families, and other professionals to promote the welfare and safety of children.
  • Providing guidance and support to social work teams in relation to child protection issues.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all meetings and decisions made.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
