Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and interventions to children and their families to promote stability and well-being.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
  • Attending court hearings and representing the best interests of children in care.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and working collaboratively with other services.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in a looked-after children context.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a caseload.
