Children's TM - Corporate Parenting Team - Devon
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Children's TM - Corporate Parenting Team in Devon as a Qualified Social Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and advocating for children in care, ensuring their well-being and best interests are at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertake assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks
- Develop and implement care plans that promote the welfare and safety of children
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide holistic support
- Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings
- Provide direct support and guidance to children and young people in care
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in child protection
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in child welfare
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions in the best interests of children
- Resilience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for vulnerable children
