We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our Children in Need (CIN) team in Southend-on-Sea. Your key responsibilities will include:

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Social Work degree or equivalent qualification, registered with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in children’s social work, with a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Proven ability to engage with children and families, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.
