Children's SM/QA - Safeguarding Team - Plymouth

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children’s SM/QA professional to join our Safeguarding Team in Plymouth on an interim basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care. As part of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality safeguarding practices while conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to enhance service delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting quality assurance audits and safeguarding assessments to ensure compliance with national standards.
  • Collaborating with social workers and other professionals to develop and implement safeguarding plans.
  • Providing training and support to staff on safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Engaging with families and children to gather feedback and improve service effectiveness.
  • Preparing reports and presenting findings to senior management and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

  • A relevant degree in Social Work, Child Protection, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in safeguarding children and quality assurance within a social care setting.
  • Strong analytical and assessment skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in safeguarding.
