Join our dedicated team in Swindon as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) within the Positive Futures Team, focusing on Looked After Children (LAC). Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual circumstances.
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and young people in care.
- Working closely with foster carers, schools, and other agencies to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements.
- Participating in case reviews and contributing to multi-agency discussions.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with Looked After Children or within a child protection setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
