Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing the needs of children and families, conducting thorough and timely assessments.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in line with statutory requirements.
- Conducting home visits and engaging with families to provide support and guidance.
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and interventions.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local policies.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with families and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child protection.
