The London Borough of Newham is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SW - MASH Team. As a member of our multi-agency safeguarding hub, you will work collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and young people.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need.
  • Working closely with partner agencies to share information and ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Responding to referrals and providing timely interventions to protect children at risk.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
