Children's SW - Permanence Team - Rochdale
Join our dedicated team at Rochdale as a Qualified Social Worker in the Children's Permanence Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. You will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that promote positive outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders.
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families to ensure stability for children.
- Representing the team at court hearings and multi-agency meetings, advocating for the best interests of the child.
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with local policies and statutory requirements.
To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should also possess:
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven experience in child social work, preferably within a permanence team or similar environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for children.
